Chopper Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Well-Known Southern California Shoreline
A chopper hovering above a well-attended coastal beach unexpectedly commenced twirling out of control, ultimately dropping height and smashing into a cluster of palm groves as beachgoers looked on.
Recordings shared on social media show the aircraft commencing to spiral above the shoreline then descending near the perimeter of the coast, where it gets stuck between palms and a set of stairs adjacent to the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Information
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five individuals were rushed to the hospital involving a pair who were in the chopper and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the accident on Saturday.
Three people on the road were harmed. Information on their injuries were not yet released.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.

Officials indicated the chopper was associated with an regular “Cars N Copters” fundraising event set for the following day.
